New taxes although promised otherwise

They want to gather an extra 10,4 billion

 

Extra taxes that will bring in 5,3 billion is the plan of the government. They are reducing the tax free income levels, the receipt discounts through the budget plan of 2012. With the cuts in pensions and wages, comes the cuts in state funding and the "bill" for employees and the lower classs reaches the sum of 10,4 billion euros extra to pay.

The Finance Minister has not yet declared it, but most of these legislations have been already voted. So

-four times more taxes through the special contribution of "spaces with electricity".

2,41 billion euros through the double taxes in living expenses, less tax free income and no discounts in taxes anymore when bringing in receipts.

-269 million euros from equalizing tax in diesel and petrol for heating.

-30 million euros from new higher taxation for cars.

-39 million euros in other taxation.

In order for state income to reach 27% of the AEP the government aims to find all tax evading and to ask for its money back through tax collectors.

But there will be other ways to receive taxes.

-Continue to get extra money from "employement" tax for all business owners, freelancers and services providers.

-Change the tax to all property, lessen the tax free limit,

-more money from the collection of special tax to help the unemployed.

-extra tax to businesses with more profit in 2010.

-extra tax to boats and yachts.

-new tax in tobacco.

-continue to receive extra tax from everyone for the "less fortunate".

-inrease in VAT for food and restaurants.

-Cuts in OGA , IKA, NAT and OAEE undings- 3,82 billion euros

For 2012 there wont be any tax returns or tax equasions.

Finally through selling of state organisations and property the government is aiming for more than the 1,8 billion euros they received this year.

-sell shares of OPAP, of the Water Company in Athens and Thessaloniki, of ELPE,
