Police cracks down on big mafia network in Northern Greece

Has the “super bug” worked its magic once again?

 

Earlier this afternoon police proceeded to dismantle a multi-criminal organization active in cases of extortion, protection, usury and money laundering not only in Thessaloniki, but also in other cities in Northern Greece, too.
After searching several houses, large sums of money, guns, drugs and other such pieces of evidence were found.
Police considers this to be a serious case, yet without being able to determine its exact magnitude.
Well informed sources say that the “super bug” provided the leads for this crackdown, since after a lot of accusations by citizens many phones were blocked and investigated.
Police have proceeded to 29 arrests.
