Much too many “Naomis K…” for Alexis Tsipras & his discussion partners

Naomi Klein… Naomi Campbell… Naomi Watts… Naomi Wolf… There are much to many “Naomis” in this world, best known for several completely different reasons. No wonder, left-wing SYRIZA leader Alexis Tsipras confused one Naomi with another: Naomi Campbell, the model,  with Naomi Klein, the activist.
The unexpected slip of tongue occurred during a panel discussion in Zagreb, where Tsipras was discussing among others Naomi Klein’s book “the doctrine of shock’.
I don’t know, if his partners were shocked by Klein’s theoretical economic doctrine or by Campbell’s real amazing charms, but they didn’t correct him. Τhey bent their heads in consent. For reasons of tact like sharing a fantasy among real gentlemen?

No matter how the discussion continued, the real Naomi (Klein) came to Athens and even met with Tsipras. She was aware of his “lapsus linguae” and reportedly told him “I’m sorry to disappointing you, Mr President, but I’m not Naomi Campbell.”
PS a politician (Tsipras), a philosopher (Zizek) and a political moderator agree that Naomi Campbell wrote “The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism”.  Cute, No?
