Canadian Minister Solves The Issue Of Illegal Immigration To Greece

Greek authorities estimate that some 90% of all the illegal immigrants in the EU entered through our country. Humanitarian groups say that these people fled from their countries because there was unrest and poverty in the Middle East and Africa. Most of them illegally enter Greece through the Evros boarder and in most cases these people do not carry any formal documents with them, or have been provided with fake passports by Turkish human smugglers and traffickers. Humanitarian groups that advocate and rally for the rights of illegal immigrants into Greece fail to tell us what types of citizens these people were in their native countries. Maybe they were criminals, maybe they were terrorists, maybe some of these people have contagious diseases and maybe just maybe they are really seeking refuge. The trouble is that we don't know, and because of this we have allowed all these non-governmental organizations to preach "humanitarian values" to us.
Not to worry, hellasfrappe has come up with a solution. We believe we have solved the issue of illegal immigration to Greece and can proudly address all of those those leftist wanna-be "humanitarian" groups who actively demonstrate in favor of illegal immigrants entering and remaining in Greece.

We say "why not put your money where your mouth is".

Instead of complaining its time to begin taking actual action.

The solution is simple and it comes from Canada. This letter, which went viral on the Internet two years ago, certainly makes a strong point. We do not know if it is authentic, but it nonetheless really supports our theory.

According to various posts across the Internet, a Canadian libertarian who was concerned about the treatment of captive insurgents (terrorists) being held in Afghanistan National Correctional System facilities two years ago, decided to begin writing a series of letters to the Canadian government to raise awareness about this issue as well as complain about what she thought was "inhumane". She waited for days for some sort of reply until she received the following (satirical) letter from the Minister of National Defense himself:

National Defence Headquarters
MGen George R. Pearkes Bldg, 15 NT
101 Colonel By Drive
Ottawa , ON K1A 0K2 Canada

Dear Concerned Citizen,

Thank you for your recent letter expressing your profound concern of treatment of the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists captured by Canadian Forces who were subsequently transferred to the Afghanistan Government and are currently being held by Afghan officials in Afghanistan National Correctional System facilities.

Our administration takes these matters seriously and your opinions were heard loud and clear here in Ottawa . You will be pleased to learn, thanks to the concerns of citizens like yourself; we are creating a new department here at the Department of National Defense, to be called 'Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers' program, or L.A.R.K. for short.

In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have decided to divert one terrorist and place him in your personal care. Your personal detainee has been selected and is scheduled for transportation under heavily armed guard to your residence in Toronto next Monday. Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud (you can just call him Ahmed) is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your letter of complaint. It will likely be necessary for you to hire some assistant caretakers.. We will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with those you so strongly recommend in your letter.

Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that your sensitivity to what you described as his 'attitudinal problem' will help him overcome these character flaws. Perhaps you are correct in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. We understand that you plan to offer counseling and home schooling.

Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or nail clippers. We advise that you do not ask him to demonstrate these skills at your next yoga group. He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive devices from common household products, so you may wish to keep those items locked up, unless (in your opinion) this might offend him.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughters (except sexually) since he views females as a subhuman form of property. This is a particularly sensitive subject for him and he has been known to show violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the new dress code that he will recommend as more appropriate attire. I'm sure you will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the burka over time. Just remember that it is all part of 'respecting his culture and religious beliefs' as described in your letter.

Thanks again for your concern.. We truly appreciate it when folks like you keep us informed of the proper way to do our job and care for our fellow man.. You take good care of Ahmed and remember, we'll be watching. Good luck and God bless you.

Cordially,
Gordon O'Connor
Minister of National Defense
As you can see this satirical letter makes it's point. While there are major issues around the topic of "terrorist detainees" (aka, generically rounded up suspicious types), there are not any answers as simple as, "OK they entered your country now give them formal documents and let them loose". Can anyone give us a guarantee that these tens of thousands of illegal immigrants do not fall under these types of criminal categories?

No. Not even these humanitarian groups.

We know there are some humanitarian groups that actually do good work but there are some
others that are too shady. We witnessed one such serious case in Greece over a year ago when they seized one of our universities demanding the legalization of all the illegal immigrants into Greece. At the time they left it to be understood that chaos would occur if the government did not move ahead with this decision. These men, who later went on a suspicious hunger strike, were aided by parties that are linked to the far-left. At the time we did not want to believe that left-wing and anarchist groups were supporting possible militant demonstrations and popular reactions, but unfortunately they were.

Our conclusion is that Greek authorities should not hand out temporary visas to people who we know nothing about, because threats of violence cannot be taken lightly.
