A week with everyone in the streets!

Protests for the new governmental measures
 
This week marks the escalations of the unions’ reactions to the new regulations on employment relations, on redundancy and on cuts in wages and pensions. It will culminate with the nationwide strike on October 19 while unionists are discussing to possibly hold a strike in SOEs on the 18 of the month.

ADEDY federations have decided to hold protests in various forms until the end of the week. The associations plan a rally for 10.00 am Saturday morning and a march to parliament.

POE OTA has announced a work stoppage for tomorrow Tuesday from 11.30 until the end of shift, with a gathering at Karaiskaki Square and a march to parliament. Today, workers in municipalities blocked municipal buildings, garages, town halls and landfills across the country.

The Panhellenic Federation of Workers in Public Hospitals (P.O.E.DI.N.) goes on strike Thursday from 11.00 to 15.00, while on the same day at 1.00 pm, O.L.M.E. is planning a rally at Propylaea and a march toward parliament.
Prison officers are on strike today and Wednesday while on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday they have scheduled work stopages.

Employees in Hellenic Petroleum are thinking of a ten-day strike while the employees in the IT of social security (IDIKA) started a long lasting strike today.

Tax workers will strike from 17 to 20 of October, while customs employees are contemplating about a 10-day strike.
PPC workers will also start a series of protests, the form and duration of which will be finalized during their meeting today.

The lawyers of the country are warning that unless the justice ministry commits to not transferring any judicial work to the notaries, they will refrain from exercising their duties from 13 to 19/10.

OTOE, along with GSEE, will also perform a 48hr strike on October 18 and 19.
