24-Year Old Cretan Wins Annual Aston Martin Car Design!

Greek Student Designed the Most Competitive Car for the Upcoming 25 Years

24-year-old Crete-born graduate George Chronakis won the first prize in the annual competition held by Britain’s biggest car companies among graduates of automotive design departments. Having received his Masters in Automotive Design, he designed the most practical, most competitive and most aesthetically pleasing target-culture car in the next 25 years for the British Aston Martin.

The young Cretan interrupted his information technology studies at the University of Crete in Greece in order to pursue his dreams in Great Britain. To that end, he studied at the famous Coventry University of Art and Design and not only did he get his Masters Degree, but he also received a significant distinction a few weeks ago, according to cretalive.gr.
“Every man’s course is pre-defined. We just have to keep our eyes open, to watch and distinguish what it is that we’ve been chosen for and be true to it,” modestly explained George Chronakis to his local website, adding that “only through that process can we feel satisfied and only then can we meet our goals.”
The car he designed was in full compliance with Japanese aesthetics, and mostly luxurious. George’s dissertation titled “Iconic Vehicle for Japan: The Art of Wabi Sabi,” sets in motion the study of the most traditional and most important aesthetic principles of Japanese design in an attempt to revive the core values of Japanese culture.
