“Greece is a country bursting with flavours, and not just for the foodie! From its picture postcard islands and sparkling waters, to its ancient cities and towering monuments, the country is home to some of the world’s most stunning landscapes, a rich and welcoming culture and a history that brought us, among other things, the Olympic Games.
This year a little bit of Greece is coming to a leafy corner of Regent’s Park. We’re looking forward to seeing you in the Taste like Greece area and to showing you a little bit of all that is fantastic about the country.”
That’s how the Greek organizers invited the public at their food corner at the “Taste of London” event, which is due to end today on June 24. This great gastronomy feast is taking place in the British capital for the 9th consecutive year at Regent’s Park.
Next to the Asian, the African and other European markets, the traditional Greek market enchanted visitors as top food and wine producers offered an excellent variety of products. Experts from popular destinations across Greece attended the event to inform the public about the whitest beaches, most picturesque towns, and top hotels and restaurants of our country.
Top chefs Dimitris Skarmoutsos, Andy Harris and Tonia Buxton prepared exciting Greek recipes and took questions live in the Taste food theatres. A selection of daily musical performances with a Greek flavor – live in the Greek Market and VIP lounge completed the Greek presence at the gastronomy festival.
