Greece Charges 3 People Over Illegal Download Website

Greek authorities say they have charged three people with allegedly running a website that allowed paying members to illegally download films, music and games.
A police statement Tuesday said the suspects, all Greeks, allegedly cost copyright owners some 65 million euro in lost revenues from the pirated material.
One woman was arrested in the northern city of Thessaloniki on Monday, and police are seeking another two men.
The police said the website charged members a monthly subscription and made “very substantial sums” in advertising fees and commissions for directing their clients to online betting sites.
