Skeletons From Missing Greeks And Greek-Cypriots Found Buried In Turkish Prison

Thirty eight skeletons found buried in the Turkish Diyarbakır Prison are believed to belong to missing Greeks and Greek-Cypriots after the Turkish invasion of Cyprus in 1974.
This shocking truth has been revealed by Eleni Theocharous, a Member of the European Parliament.
The skeletons found in the Turkish Diyarbakır Prison do not belong either to Turks nor to Kurds, as DNA test results showed.
The results of the DNA test should be examined in order to determine if the skeletons belong to missing Greek and Greek-Cypriot captives, whose relatives are still searching for the truth.

That was the proposal of the Cypriot Member of the European Parliament, Eleni Theocharous that has been approved by the President of the European Parliament’s foreign affairs committee. Theocharous also asked the formation of a committee by the Cypriot and the Greek Goverment in order to investigate the case of the sceletons.
