The obedient “gardeners” are never wasted

9.000 euros for Kostas Theos

"It appears that nobody goes to waste… as long as they have the right friends…». This sentence was used by an economic player for placement of Kostas Theos in the position of deputy managing director of PPC. One week after his appointment as a board member, Theos became No. 2 and right hand of Arthouros Zervos in the administrative pyramid of the Corporation, with a salary of over 9.000 euros. And it came at a time when the government does not hesitate to impose large increases in the electricity tariffs.

Arthouros Zervos was a personal choice of “green Tina”, Kostas Theos of Yorgos Papakonstantinou, of course under the orders of George Papandreou. Besides, this shows from the path of the 50yo civil engineer so far, who climbed the ladder in political positions starting from Simitis’ governments in the '90s, but unlike other Simitis’ followers was saved in the system by George Papandreou. The 5.5 years of Karamanlis’ governance the two friends, Papakonstantinou and Theos had a parallel course in the ranks of PASOK that opened the doors to the government of George.

Papaconstantinou became spokesman of the party, while Theos was secretary and vice president of ISTAME, but at the same time held a seat on the board of Nereus company, of Aristides Belles, who engaged in aquaculture. After the 2009 elections, Papaconstantinou takes the seat of the “tsar” of the economy, and Theos is appointed as the right hand of Pamboukis at Maximus Mansion. After Pamboukis departure the unshakeable Theos was running things at the side of the "Queen Regina" (Vartzeli) from the position of Head of Strategic Planning at the Office of the PM, from 2009 until Papandreou’s resignation and the formation of Papademos’ government. However, it is true that Theos did not provoke with his deeds and actions from the positions of power he held so far, as so many professional politicians do with their behavior or their decisions.
