Karl Lagerfeld: “Greeks have disgusting habits”

What? We, Greeks, have disgusting habits? So nauseatic like drilling deep in our nose in public? Excavating our ears? Coughing and sneezing in the face of the other? Spitting on the street and making everything but appetizing noises while we eat? But Noooo! Darling, there are people that do not even think that such habits are possible and human. Famous fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld, a German, has another approach to the hot and trendy issue “what is a disgusting habit?”

“Karl on the Greek economic crisis:
Greece needs to work on a cleaner image. It’s a big problem, as [Greeks]
have this reputation of being so corrupt. You can’t be sure the money
will go where it’s supposed to go. They need to build trust, and that
takes time too. Nobody wants Greece to disappear, but they have really
disgusting habits – Italy as well.” (full report Metro)

Karl Lagerfeld said this and other nice things like singer Adele was fat or Pippa Middleton was ugly -as a Metro guest editor in February 2012. Artist Lagerfeld also made a caricature of then Greek finance minister Evangelos Venizelos.

Lagerfeld’s comments were first published on February 2012. Why this makes it in the Greek websites one and a half years later, I really can’t tell. Ops! I can Because he will publish a book containing his famous quotes slamming everything that walks, swims or flies.  His book “The World according to Karl” will be published in upcoming September.
I am not sure whether Karl also comments on the disgusting habits of the models struggling to remain ultra thin. But from what I hear,  there weren’t any.
PS Thank God, he mentioned Italy as well LOL
