The
new revised edition of the book "The New York Times, 36 Hours: 125
Weekends in Europe", which will be published by the German publisher TASCHEN, includes culture, history, beauties
of nature, good food, masterpieces of art, architecture and style. The
book offers suggestions for 125 short but unforgettable trips across
Europe - from big cities to little-known destinations, from Paris to
Perm, as well as useful suggestions for more than 500 restaurants and 400 hotels, with over 800 photographs and maps. The Greek restaurant ManiMani is also included in the book. The restaurant is suggested by the "New York Times" as a place that must be visited.Greek wine is also acknowledged. In the international wine competition "Mundus Vini 2012" the gold medal was given to Ianos Cabernet Sauvignon 2004 by Angelos Ruvalis. The red wine impressed the experts, after it emerged among the gold medallists from the 6,019 wines which took part in the competition. 303 judges blind-tasted wines from 46 different countries and evaluated and awarded the best of them by type, flavour, taste and an overall impression of the wine. Ianos Cabernet Sauvignon, which is awarded for its typical Cabernet aromas, with green and red pepper nuances, caramel, chocolate and berry jam flavour, is not the only wine by Angelos Ruvalis which has received recognition at such a significant contest. Similar awards have been won in the past by Asproliti from 2012, Mikros Vorias Riesling from 2009 and others.
