Betty White Gets Waxed

Betty White, at the age of 90, has become immortalized in wax at Madame Tussauds. Visitors of the famed museum in Hollywood can get an up close view with a life-sized replica of the 90 year-old actress, who is part Greek on her maternal side (her mother was Tess Cachikis). For the event, she donned a bright pink top to match her wax figurine; it was almost impossible to tell who was the real Betty White.
The honor of being waxed came for the TV legend, who is most famous for her role on the program “Golden Girls,” early last week. After appearing in a 2010 Super Bowl ad, the vibrant actress experienced a surge in popularity and her career made quite a comeback. She has since made numerous appearances in television shows and ads, as well as stars in the comedy series “Hot in Cleveland,” in addition to also producing “Betty White’s Off Their Rockers,” a hidden camera-style program where elderly people play jokes on the younger generation.

  1. Oh good for you Betty! I remember watching “The Golden Girls” with my grandma on Saturday when I would visit on the weekend. Although I haven’t seen her “Hot in Cleveland” show, my wife and I really love watching “Off their Rockers” after the kids go to bed. We steal the time because we watching using the PrimeTime Anytime recordings and enable the Auto Hop automatic commercial skipping feature. That way I can get up and make it to work at Dish on time the next morning.
