Prosecutor for Animal Rights Appointed

Animals in Greece (whether stray or in a home) will have a prosecutor from today to deal exclusively with their rights. On the order of the Athens Prosecutor General, for the first time in the history of the country, a prosecutor will be dealing with animal rights.
On the basis of a recent law voted on by the Greek Parliament, Judge Constantina Aghelopoulou has been appointed Prosecutor Responsible for the Killing and Abuse of Animals and for other similar violations of the law.
