Shocking evidence of Riot police attacking journalists!

The situation is out of control...

The situation in Syntagma square was out of control for a long time on Wednesday, with Riot police officers hitting protesters and journalists alike, while clashes between police and masked rioters were taking place.

The city center was reminiscent of a war zone, with Molotov cocktails being thrown out by hooded rioters and police responding with the use of chemicals, making the atmosphere unbearably unbreathable.
The situation even forced the Presidential guard to remove themselves from the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, after their wellbeing was immediately threatened due to the clashes.

Earlier on Wednesday, unknown people attacked citizens and assaulted them in the Metro system, even going so far as to knock one man over the head.

Around 14:300, a riot police squad moved into the subway station of Syntagma where the masked rioters had hidden into. Episodes occurred within the station, resulting in injuries.

An investigation was ordered by Police headquarters after reports of police brutality against journalists in syntagma square.

At the same time, nine arrests and detentions of three people were made by Police. Two officers were injured.

Clashes took place in the Pan-Educational rally at the Propylee. Masked rioters infiltrated the march and began throwing stones towards Riot police guarding the streets. Police officers responded with the use of chemicals, which resulted in turn in Molotov cocktail attacks. The masked men removed themselves from the protests and moved to the GSEE-ADEDY protests.

The clashes were then moved on to V. Sofias boulevard where protesters attempted to overcome the “iron fence” that Riot police had set on the spot.
